Ryan Ye

Ryan is a native Canadian living in New York currently completing a master’s in journalism at Hofstra University. He has been a sports fan since birth and is a big-time hockey, football and rugby fan. Ryan loves all sports playing a multitude of them growing up including, hockey, baseball, football and rugby. He played varsity Rugby at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada while also graduating with a BSc. in Biology. His goal is to provide a place for aspiring sports journalists who may also not come from conventional journalistic backgrounds like himself to improve, grow and excel in the world of sports journalism. Billy is a born and raised Long Islander going for his masters in journalism at Hofstra University. He is a huge fan of the New York Islanders, New York Mets and the Washington Redskins (shoutout to Robert Griffin III.) Jordan Stoopler

Jordan is a Canadian expat, having moved from Montreal to Long Island in 2018 in pursuit of his Master’s degree in Journalism at Hofstra University. He completed a three-year undergraduate program in journalism at Concordia University in Montreal. While there, he was a staff writer for one of Concordia’s newspapers, primarily covering Les Canadiennes, the city’s professional women’s hockey team. Jordan is an avid hockey, baseball, and tennis fan. When not watching sports, he enjoys watching old sitcoms such as Seinfeld or Friends and listening to true crime podcasts.
